Positive Parenting
There is no such thing as an expert parent! But we all want to do our best as parents. Positive Parenting is a course to help parents talk and learn together about bringing up their children, providing a resource for the community.
|
The course has been put together from material from Rob Parson's 'Parent Talk' (Rob is author of 'The Sixty Second Father') and Positive Parenting publications.
The eight week course is designed to encourage parents and others who work with children. Through discussion groups and video, we cover topics which help us to draw on each other's experience and the instructional material, learning key parenting principles and skills.
Topics covered:
- What a child really needs - Look and listen - Setting loving limits - Defend the boundaries - Choose your battles - Keeping safe - Dad I need you - Keeping sane
Courses are run through the year to meet demand. For more details about the course or when the next one is running , please contact: Jean Bath or Yvonne Hannington at The King's Centre.
